This tier list is for my own personal use as I focus on grinding the ranks back in Joust during this split. These rankings may not line up with the professional opinions but they are based on heavy experience combined with speculation regarding new changes from the patch.
ss
"This tier comprised "god" tiered characters which have the innate ability to be placed onto any team, with any comp, and carry alone. Only a handful of gods have ever reached SS." During this patch, no gods are at this level.
s+
"Your quintessential top tiers, which will generally dictate meta stylings and composition. These gods are usually first pick / first ban material." Despite nerfs to Merlin, Arthur, and Bacchus: I do not expect them to be deeply affected in the ranked joust scene but Bacchus will now be less impossible to counter. Merlin and Arthur will still likely perform at this level in the hands of a competent player, and they are now joined by Jormungandr.
s
A league of their own but not quite S+ either. These are pretty sure bets for support.
s-
"Slightly above the point balance, this pool of gods should comprise the team compositions for most competitive games. The ebb and flow of meta swing and flavors of the month may sway this slightly in favor of certain players' abilities and strengths." Don't expect this group to change with this patch. There aren't enough changes to gods nor items for any drastic meta altering occurrences to take place.
a+
Over-performing balanced gods. These are basically just the 'best of the rest'.
a
"The focal point of balance. These gods should see no changes, given their current abilities in competitive high level play. New players should flock to this pool, as their time invested will likely not be wasted due to nerfs, buffs or changes to the playstyle." These gods can be played but should be avoided if better options are available.
a-
Slightly under-performing at the point of balance due to one main weakness (be that low early game or lack of viable escapes or difficult ability hit boxes etc.).
b
"Still somewhat strong, but not competitively viable in all situations. Are generally a bit more difficult to place on a team than A or S tiered gods. High player skill with individuals in this pool is likely to still sway a match up in your favor, but there are generally better picks." These gods can be played with success but rarely do they succeed against full pre-made teams that know what they are doing.
c
"Weak, overall. The team composition generally will need to be built around a character in this pool to make them work properly. Unlikely to be found in competitive environments, unless the player is considered a master of a god." These gods will only work if you are bottom ELO and you get the last pick and the situation is basically built around one of them being played.
d
"Very low pick rate and or competitively non-viable even in the hands of masters." Never ever pick these gods in a ranked joust until further notice.
