Hey everyone I'm Blitzeyy, and I'm a masters solo laner and aspiring comp player. I have been a solo main since the end of season 5 and this is the first role I was able to successfully hit masters with.

Main Build

Notes

Achilles is a very fun character capable of doing anything you really need from a solo laner, and doing it quite well. He can dish out damage as well as eat do to his passive armor changes. His 2 is also extremely good because it give pretty much every stat you need and its cooldown is only 10 seconds! Not only that, but he also has a execute as a ultimate making soloing the opposing solo laner that much easier. Did I mention you also get crowd control immunity while it casts? Over all Achilles is a very good solo laner, and can easily carry games in the right hands. Hes very fluent with his combo and auto cancel. He also builds every good solo item well in this meta so thats a major plus. Once you learn Achilles and master the character, I promise you he will give results.

Healing Potion

Healing Potion

Multi Potion

Multi Potion

This consumable heals 125 Health and 75 Mana over 25 seconds.

Notes

-This is your typical Warriors Blessing, Health Chalice, Health Potions/Multi Potions start.

-Choosing between health potions and multi potions is pretty easy. Health Chalice with Health potions means you gonna sustain in lane longer(Note that the healing you get from health chalice and health potions don't stack together, they just extend the health regen duration when used together.), and multi potions helps with trading because you will have both health chalice heals and multi potion heals ticking at the same time(note the healing from health chalice and multi potions do stack unlike health chalice and health potions.)

-For your relic its always safe to go teleport, but if you feel you don't need it or you need a better relic than blink is always an option for your first relic.( Note that if you don't get teleport you have to time your backs extremely well and you more susceptible to getting camped due to the lack of teleport. Solo laning phase has a ton to do with when you get your power spikes and knowing when to back for said spike.)

Ward

Ward

This is a ward that allows you to see normal enemy movements with 45 units. It does respect line of sight and can't see through walls or stealth. It remains for 3 minutes or until killed.

Notes

-Your first back is, in my opinion, your most important back in dictating how the rest of you laning phase goes. This is your ideal first back, and you should already have warriors blessing fully stacked and a health chalice still. If you are in a dire need to back once you get your 1700 gold for Glad Shield then do it rather than buying your wards. If you wait to long or the opposing solo laner get their back off before you and bully you out before your back, it will be much harder to regain the pressure you lost due to greeding to get enough gold for wards.

Defensive Builds
Notes

These are your ideal final builds. There are A LOT of items that can and in most situations will be subbed out, but these builds are the most reliant in my opinion. In both builds when you hit the point in the game when you can sell boots, I recommend buying a heartseeker or a crusher. Achilles is a very bruiser god that spews damage, so both of those items are great on him for dps. Please read the texts under the builds so you can see what I mean.

Notes

Heres where things can get complicated. So in most cases, even though you are facing a magical damage dealer in solo, glad shield is still very viable because of the sustain you get from it and your 2's heal. If you are really concerned about the match up and worried about losing it, runic shield is always a viable substitute for glad shield. Late game, since both runic and glad shield are bridge items for laning phase you want to sell wichever you bought for a caduceus shield, that item is very good on achilles because of you 2 heal and the item give both types of prots with power to add on. If they have any healers that require you to build the anti heal, sub out the genji's guard for a pestilence. Anti heal is very much worth it, and since you get 10% cdr from glad shield and another 10% from blue buff you will be fine on cdr until you get your mantle of discord.

Notes

So for most match ups against other warriors this is the best build. Glad shield helps you win trades and void shield has great stats and percent pen. If you need anti heal though against the opposing solo laner to help win trades(Camazotz, Set, Achilles mirror, Amaterasu, Chaac, Guan Yu, Hercules, King Arthur, Mulan, Tyr, and Vamana), then i recommend subbing out void shield for Contagion then selling your Glad Shield for Void Shield later on. If your facing healers that you won't see for a long time like opposing mid, support, and even adc then you can greed void shield and sub out the Caduceus shield for a Pestilence, then sell your glad shield for caduceus. If you seeing the opposing healer though during your laning phase frequently though, then i recommend just doing the contagion build I mentioned already.

Notes

I can just go down the order these are pretty easy to sum up.

-Breastplate of Valor: If you want more tankiness and cdr you can go this over void shield. I normally don't reccomend this because you lose a good amount of damage but you are tankier and have your cds up quicker.

-Spectral Armor: This is a must if the opposing ADC/mid/jungle is building crit. It pretty much shuts down the dps from whoever is critting you which helps a ton. I would go this over void shield if the mid/ jg is critting, or build this when you can sell glad shield.

-Midgardian Mail: This item is alright is some instances cause its insanely annoying for other players lol. Its mainly built if you are facing a lot of auto attackers and I feel its slept on but you never want to build this over void shield. In almost all situations you build this, do if when your selling your glad shield. This item is extremely annoying to deal with for gods like King Arthur and Jormungandr because they are force to always cleave auto and it slows them down a bit.

-Bulwark of Hope: Bulwark is viable if your getting melted or bursted quickly by the opposing mage and you are tired of getting shredded/ one shot. The only downsides to this item is that its very awkward to build and its pretty expensive.

-Oni Hunter's Garb: This item is pertty much on of the best magical defense items in the game, and its because damage mitigation baby. Up to 9% damage mitigation can be pretty insane, and this item always pairs extremely well with Spirit Robe for a maximum of 14% damage mitigation for 3 seconds. Thats super nutty. Plus when you are diving the mitigations help a lot considering you are most likely gonna be ganged up on by their support, mid, and adc. This item can be subbed for Genji's Guard with the magic build, or glad shield with the physical build.

-Pridwen: I personally don't like it on Achilles but it is viable. A health shield after your first execute can help a bit, and 20% cdr is pretty good. Also give both types of prots so its good, I just prefer more damage. You can kinda just figure out when you want to build this item.

-Gauntlet of Thebes: This item is kinda a theory craft that worked out and you sub hide of the urchin out for it. Basically if you want a crazy amount of hp, and 50 of each type of prots, but you can't seem to stack your urchin this is the item for you. It also gives your allies 10 prots each, but more than likely your support already has it.

-Magi's Cloak: Magi's is simple. If the opposing team has a ton of cc, but you don't want to get beads go magi's. It give barely any prots but the passive is what makes it very good. I would sub out either urchin, mantle of discord, or sell glad shield for this. I wouldn't buy this item early cause it honestly feels so bad early game.

-Spirit Robe: Now for the last item, its spirit robe. If the opposing team has a lot of hard cc and your getting dog pilled on, spirit robe never goes wrong. 15% damage mitigation is F***king nutty. Plus it has 10% cdr and 40 of each prot. This item is pretty solid. If you need to build this, build it over mantle of discord, or over urchin and buld urchin last item. Also like I said Oni hunter's spirit robe combo is nutty. You just lose dmg items which help.

Notes

Leveling Achilles is very simple. Max your 3 first, then your 1 second, then your 2 third. Never max your ult before any of the items since the ult is used for escaping or executing, and the execute doesn't scale like Thanatos execute does. Your 3 is your main damage ability, and your 1 is used to stun or finish someone off. Your 2 is your steroid and its not worth maxing before your 1 because you will suffer clear wise. There are plenty of combos for achilles but my favorite for him is pop 2, 3 auto, 1 auto, 3 auto, then if they are in execute range ult. Its situational though to because your not always gonna put them in execute range, and sometimes you gotta auto a bit more between 3s. You have a pretty big window before your second 3 expires though so its pretty hard to mess up.

Strong Against

Notes

-Loki: Stun loki out of invis, and insane range and gap closing potential. Your 3 is big so if you can guess what direction he goes you can get alot of free poke.

-Set: You out trade him if your playing him right and managing your 2. Set is scary cause his poke but you have a good way to close the gap and get close with your 3. You can also stun set during his all in and that buys you a second of valuable time.

-Thor: Thor isn't a great laner, he kinda just looks to clear waves and try to get free poke. If he wastes hammer or does something dumb with it, you close the gap easily with your 3, and you can stun him out of his 3. Be careful though because if you take to much poke from Thor hes gonna just all in you and his all in can melt if you don't react in time.

-Amaterasu: Kind of a stale mate tbh. You have a lot of kill potential off of your ult and you bully her early game, but post 7 she just kinda does ama things and insta clears waves, so get the most out of the bully pre 7. Be careful though because Ama 2 chunks, and her all in can very well half health you sometimes. The more you face her, the better you will understand the match up.

-Cu Chullain: Ok so this match up is kinda a stale mate and it can turn ugly real quick if you fall behind but you have kill potential I promise. Basically you abuse Cu Chullain when hes not enraged. Just auto him down a bit and he can either A jump your 1 and get hit by your 3 2 times, or b jump the 3 and get pounded by a stun and autos after( most of the time if he does this you force ult and he will enrage, he can be executed though remember that). When hes enraged he will more than likely win the trades, especially when he has full mystical mail. Don't look to fight him when your half or under, and play it smart when hes enraged. Pretty easy to abuse him when hes base form tho.

-Guan Yu: Pretty simple. You can out clear and out dmg him by interrupting guan taolu assault, and he has no jump to avoid your 3, just a short dash with a low cd. Pretty easy to abuse him and keep him under tower.

-Nike: Everyone beats Nike, the god is straight poo poo. If you really want to know though, stun her 1 and she does nothing but run away after cause there is no way in hell she will ever win a trade.

-Odin: Odin isn't really hard to beat but hes gonna try to just ignore you. You have a lot of pressure because for one thing his clear is his escape, and his second way of clearing you can interrupt. The only thing that would be stopping you for just down right stomping him is cage, and that cause you are easy to gank if your stuck in cage with odin and his teammates. Just play it smart.

-Sun Wukong: Ok Sun Wukong doesn't do good into warriors its just facts. You can interrupt his escape and poke easily, its just sun wukong is extremely safe so you will never really kill him unless he miss plays. Sun Wukong kinda does his own thing and once he can insta clear wave, just don't even bother trying to kill him and look for rotations.

-Vamana: Just like Odin and Sun Wukong vamana is gonna look to just power farm up, but he can fight back. You should still be winning the trades though but hes just a pain to kill if he ults early. The best thing though is hes not impossible to solo as achilles, and being achilles and having a execute it makes it a lot more tempting for your jungle to gank.

-Artio: Artio has a lot of rotations and she may out trade you once she gets jades and breastplate online, but if you play your dashes smart to dodge her 1s and stun her 3s, you can turn fights in your favor with your execute. You have to play lane smart.

-Athena: Athena looks to just rotate, you have solo kill potential but most of the time a small window cause her dash cd is low once she has full breastplate and blue. The good news is though is that she can't really fight back to well and its basically a free lane for you!

-Jormungandr: Ok so this match up is pretty much a stale mate because of jorm's build and natural tankiness, but you can interrupt his 2 and stun him out of his 3 which helps a lot, Also you can get some clutch ults before he goes underground if you play it right, but most good jorms won't let you solo him. Forcing his ult though helps the jg's gank a lot more. Just bully him pretty much and force ult for your team to gank him.

-Chang'e: Chang'e is a b***h to fight in lane because of her constant poke and heals, once you get full runics online though you pretty much never die and can start winning trades if u space yourself properly with your 3 and close the gap after. The problem is she has a heal and a dmg/cc immunity so its pretty tricky to ult her. Achilles pretty much wins this match up trough out trading and having pressure AFTER you get runics and warrior tabi.

Weak Against
CamazotzBellonaChaacHerculesKing ArthurOsirisBaron SamediKuzenboSobekHades
Notes

-Camazotz: Cama out dmgs with the power he gets from his 1 and can jump your stun and execute, out sustains you because he pretty much full heals off of waves and has free lifesteal, Plus can be extremely safe because his ult keeps him out of combat forever so if he does somehow lose a trade he ults out and full heals after. Dumb god...

-Bellona: Bellona is just a lane bully pretty much. You can interrupt her clear but she out trades you through berserkers plus her 3 heals, and she has a block stacks. She can also jump your execute with her ult. More of a stale mate but she bullys you. Luckily the goddess is bad so its not a big deal.

-Chaac: Chaac can kinda beat almost every god in the game, but hes just such a bad god that it doesn't matter. Hes just a lane bully and his heal is to much to execute through. Plus if hes every in danger he just ults then combos you with 1 2 and slows and it turns the engagement around to his favor. Luckily just like bellona, chaac is bad.

-Hercules: Now this can go either way but most of the time the herc wins. He clears better than you do and has a burst heal, plus his AA chain makes him chunk and he has passive power. He can just build full breastplate and hes un killable by you.

-King Arthur: You bully him before he has full glad and reinforced greaves, but after that he does arthur things. Your best bet is to just interrupt his 3 in attack stance and waste his cds. Hes King Arthur he pretty much wins every lane.

-Osiris: You can win this lane but osiris has a million glad shield proccs, has a really good aa cancel combo, gets mitigations for free, and can 100% anti heal you. Plus he can ult your ult and that puts you in a bad spot. Only way you win is if the osiris misses abilities constantly and you punish him for it but chaac is a massive lane bully.

-Baron Samedi: Baron is so f*****g annoying to face man. Its nothing like osiris vs baron and you can dodge snake with your 3, plus close gap but he will just hold abilities and ult your feet while hes on his side of the lane. You don't win this match up if the baron is good, but you don't lose to hard either. Get tank boots and runics and survive.

-Kuzenbo: Hes to tanky to kill, thats pretty much it. You can interrupt his 3, but he pops his 2 and u sits in his wave so that way if u hit wave you procc his 2's cdr reduction so he 3s the wave and/or you again and can spawn multiple nenes to take you to pound town. Plus his ult can displace you long enough to have his kit off cd again after the cast. Pretty much try to just out clear him and out rotate.

-Sobek: The most disgusting vile god to face ever. Sobek meta isn't fun for anyone facing it because hes unkillable to, plus can swing later on in the game. With lifesteal boots he can pretty much half heal off his 2 on a wave, just like tyr. Only way you kill is if he misses pluck, then proceeds to miss his 2, and has to ult out. Pretty hard to kill a good sobek. You just need ot look to out clear and out rotate.

-Hades: This match up blows because with achilles clear you look to 3 the opposing solo laner in their wave then 3 the wave when its leashed. With Hades though he insta clears wave insanely early and full heals off wave, so theres really no kill potential in lane. You just gotta farm up and execute him in team fight.
