I dont think there is not the Way to play Amaterasu, she is a Warrior and a fearsome one when played right. The right way to play her is to find out how you like to play her. Sadly she is a Jack of all Trades God. Why Sadly, well it also mean while she can do everything, its also mean she dont excell in one thing. So i design my builds arrownd. Amaterasu is the god i like most in Smite. The God i played most. My player Expirence with her is realy high. I played with her already against Diamond Players. That mean this build guide shoud work until you reach that high in elo.

Notes

For the strart of the game i recomand use this items. The "Healing Potions" give you enogh sustain and in most gamemodes you need it. with the 2 "Mana Potions" are enoght if you dont play her as a support and take your mana usesage to the base the base level. On Conquest you shoud swich out "Purification Beads" with the "Teleport glyph". Against havy magical enemys you shoud adapt by use "Enchanted Buckler".

As the game starts Shiftershild provide good deffense and offence. Against both damage types. After your first item you go further on with boots personaly i prefer the "Warrior Tabi", but the "Ninja Tabi" are also a good option if you need more Mana or want to play more with your basic attacks. After the boots you might go for the other Protection Item, out of conquest there you shoud build 1 more item against you lane opponent.

Since Amaterasu is a Warrior you can adapt to the game flow. That mean go more deffence if you need or more offense if you dont need the deffence. I put down a large list of items that can be build on her.

Feel free to experiment with the build and Items. Amaterasu can be everything (Tank, Assassin, Warrior, Support) so let your phantasie flow and you might encounter that there is no true way for her. She is everything, so go out and let your opponents feel the burning fury of the light xD.

Notes

The build is strong against everyone who dont have much penetration. These 6 items offers a high amount of Protetion against physical and magical enemys, your deffence suffers in the low ammount of health gained by items. It have an Offensive earlygame. Feal free to switch Runic Shield with Void Shield if you need more magical Protection in the early game. If a guardian is to annoying for you get Ancile for the Runic Shield. The relics i recomand are Purification Beats. You dont have a lot of deffence, still enogh to take some punches, but you shoudnt stay to long in combat, while beeing focused. The other Relic is up to your decsiton, its situational and needs to be chosen to play arownd enemy gods.

Notes

Its something more capable of sustaining the late game. I woud recomand Contagion as primary Antiheal item, it give you everything you need in the earlygame. Grap Pestilence only if you are thretened to much by magical damage. Grab Genji's Guard against high magical damage dealer that dont have a lot of penetration, if they have build. If you decide to grap only 1 of this items, i recomand Pridwen or Spirit Robe.

You dont have a lot of choices even tho it seems to be much. Your 1 give you already movent speed, tho you shoudnt grap more then 2 items that buff your movementspeed. As offensive anti heal choice i take toxic blade instead of Brawler. Youre base kid dont provide full CD and not a lot of Mana/MP5. Arondight is good against Loki and other steathy gods, and you shoud pick it only if you have problems against those. Titan's Band is your Item against Tanks or deffensive builded Warriors. Never pick Frostbound and Hastent Katana together. Masamune and Shiftershild are for the same thing, go in and sustain while you deal dmg. Stone Cutting Sword have a good funktion as fill item, it provide some Penetration good ammount of Power and work well with your passiv

Notes

This build is a good allrounder. Work realy good in Arena. Its low Mana pool and low MP5 make it week on large Maps (Conquest). This give you +185 Power in total, with 30 Pen and 40% CD. Pridwen give also nice dmg aditon. As deffence it offers You +90 to +125 Protection against Physical and Magical the Hp you get are small by +500hp. This build will make you sustain fights, so long as your not in the focuse. The debuffs you give (Your Passiv, Void Shield, Runic Shield), build on your natural abiltiy to disrupt your enemys.

Notes

The strong magical Protection you get in this build (+170 to +215) makes it hard to pass thro you for Mages and guardians. Your health pool is still not to bad with +650hp. You have a lack of anti physical (+50 to +85) but your second ability shoud make up for it. You still get good power of +185 but just with a total of 20 pen (shoud be enogh for Mages). The fact that you only get 20% cd is made up by the Passiv of Genji's Guard.

Notes

Your build against Physical damage dealers have not to many options. The main reason for it is that your items still need some Magical Protection. This build provide on the first look "only" +130 Protections but during the fight it scale up to +195. Physical damge Dealers most times dont have a lotburst so your initial need for protection is not to high. You can change Breastplate of Valor for Hide of the Nemean Lion (against basic attacker) or Spectral Amor (against a lot of critical damage). Your Power with this is +215 to +180. While your Power degrese during the time you get an amor debuff from 20 to 50 on them. This layout still provide Magical Protection that it shoud be enoght for 1 Mage. Your health total is realy low on +350hp so make shure you not the person who is first in the fight.

Notes

This is an very offensive option for a build. Your Protections are lackluster at +50 for Magic and +50 to +80 for physical. Your health with +600hp shoud make up for that, so you can deal some damage over the time that you fight. You shread 30 to 50 of there Protections, while have 25 Penetration. The Attack speed and Moventspeed of Toxic Blade work well with your passiv and the passiv of Stone Cutting Sword. The Antiheal you need against those Asi Hunters, and the supporters.

Notes

Like i earlyer said this build is for everything so here we go. But first i have to mention something about this build. Youre not supposed to do something alone. So you need at least one person in your team, that know what he/she is doing. You dont get the offensive stats to kill someone easy. Youre build work around buff and debuff. So your options on Items are strong limitet. Stone of Gaia is a fill Item, swich it out for a diffrent that provides you the HP you need, if you like another item more. You excell in sustaining fights, but everything that build for solo combat will take you out.

The Stats of this build Mentioned diffrently that you can see why its not made for a player who whant to play her as something else as a support. But the support role is the easyst to play. Amaterasu can do this becouse she already buff Allys and debuff enemys with her Passiv and her first ability. Her 3rd and 4th ability have CC.

Notes

Heavenly Reflection is a most to max first. I personaly think that Glorious Charge is stronger then Divine Presence, so you shoud max as second priority. if you want to play Amaterasu as a support you still can go Divine Presence as second ability to max.
