Notes

To start off, you can go warrior's blessing, chalice and health pots, and put a point into your 1 for incredible sustain. If you can't land your 1 at least half of the time, either prioritize the 3 instead or PRACTICE hitting that 1. It's an essential component of Thana's kit early on.

You'll rush blackthorn hammer for the raw stats that it gives. Survivability against both damage types on top of moderate damage.

Notes

Thana isn't very mana hungry due to his abilities costing a small % based portion of his max health. That's why we're going to forego mana pots and solely rely on blue buff for mana sustain. The health pots and chalice, in tandem with the warriors blessing, will provide you with more than enough heals in the beginning. If you can land your 1 on the enemy solo when it comes off of cooldown, you'll be able to pressure them enough to back off under their tower. Use your basic attack cleave and your 3 to outclear them. If they're returning just as much damage as you're dealing to them, use a pot and throw a 1 their way. Assuming it landed, you're now full HP again.

Notes

Trans last, yeah, it looks weird, but the 110 power it provides is just too good to pass up. It will allow you to eat the squishies on the enemy team. IMPORTANT: Sell your boots for a speed pot once you have over 3.8K gold, then buy a BLOODFORGE / HYDRA'S/ CRUSHER in it's place.

Notes

The only thing that changes is Void Shield --for> Ancile and Bloodforge/Hydra's --for> Crusher. Crusher is important on the magical defense build because we don't get that 20 pen from Void Shield, this makes up for that. The attack speed is also quite nice. The end build will have more respectable attack speed and CDR in comparison to the default build, but less raw damage output.

You can go level your ultimate earlier if you'd like. I don't level it early unless the enemy jungle is frequenting my lane and I need an escape. The damage on his 1 and 3 will be phenomenal for your early game if you ignore his other skills for the time being. The 2 isn't really useful until later on when their squishies' inherent prots reach the 50-60s, then it'll come in handy. The ult is pretty useless at it's lower levels due to it's low execute threshhold, so that's why I only level it if I need an escape option. The only tools you need to box and clear your lane early on are your 1 and 3.
