BOW GAAAAANG - EU

I started playing King Arthur the same hour he was released. I was insanely hyped for this god and I've probably played him the more than I've ever played anyone in such a short timeframe. I think the amount I've played at once qualifies me to give advice so here I am. I think he takes a while to get the hang of but once you do, it doesn't really matter what you build. I'd say so long as it's tanky, you're going to be fine. In fact you'll stomp mid game. I find that before his gladiator's shield is online you need to play slightly safer, but once you have it unleash hell. I main joust and almost every game between levels 6-12 I run into all 3 enemies, alone and come out alive with at least 1 kill. He is amazing at applying constant pressure and I find it easy to be top everything despite, even damage, despite the tanky build. Unfortunately I find he falls off a bit in the very late game. With my team we can dive whatever at levels 13-18 however the glorious 1v3's are unlikely unless you're ahead by a lot. If you're in full lategame, with everyone fully built and lvl 20 you need to actually think about when going in. This doesn't mean he's bad, if you can coordinate your attacks he will still do amazing, you just have to actually get that coordination. I mostly play solo or in a party of 2 so it's not easy to get that, hence the feeling that he's not so great lategame.

To summarise: Wait until glad shield, play stupidly aggressive, calm yourself at the end and play smart with your team

Defensive Builds
Notes

If you build Arthur offensively you're an idiot. All his damage comes from base scaling, not power. There's little variation required. Any tanky build will work so long as you know what you're doing with the god. If you want more damage I suppose a crusher would be ok given the amount of abilities to use it with. I wouldn't recommend it though. You may also think about blackthorn and runeforge. While I don't think these are bad options, I found the protections much more useful

Notes

Level your 2 before your 3 if they can easily stop it. Silences, cripples and stuns etc. Pay attention to their habits too. If they have an Achilles who initiates with his stun, chances are you're safe to level your 3 instead of your 2

Now as for combos, you're going to need to play to get a feel for them. Sure people can tell you what they use but to use them properly in combat you're going to need to reflexively know which to use. If you're pausing to figure out which ability is best, you've lost your opportunity. For starters tho, use your combo stance 2 for initiation if they can escape, followed by the regular 1 for good damage. If they have none, use the regular 3 for protection shred. These wont get you a kill at every opportunity, but it's better than going in blind

Lastly, the passive. Keep it. Always try to poke with your 1's to keep it up. The double energy gain will build ulti's stupidly fast. I found when I first picked him up I was really struggling to gain ultimate, but if you learn how to utilise your passive and energy gain, it's not unlikely to use the big ult 3 times in a single combat. This does not, however, mean to hold onto energy. There are many cases where the regular ult is better. Even more so with the addition of Jorm. I think the turning point for getting a feel with Arthur is when you start treating the Sundering Strike (the small ult) as just another ability.

CRIPPLES OH GOD WHY PLEASE SOMEONE HELP ME
He struggles against prolonged silence too, but ares is the biggest threat. Next I would say cupid. The ult is a free kill on Arthur
