I see people build AMC in a variety of ways which you can get away with for the most part. You run into problems when you have an enemy jungler that knows the character. Here is a guide to help people avoid becoming a snack.

Always, always, always Mage's Blessing. AMC clear is dope. It's doper with cooldown and ability damage. Hunter's Blessing doesn't even make sense on an ability based hunter.

Talaria Boots is going to give a crazy amount of movement speed when in range of the hives (1). Especially for a character without a CC immune ultimate that relies on beads, you have to have proper positioning but these boots will give you a better chance of surviving a gank when the enemy jungler is dumping his kit on you.

Finish Trans. Start building stacks. The mana on this paired with the power for an ability based god is a have to buy on this character. Not to mention once you finish it you get the 10% CDR pushing you up to 20% with the Mage's Blessing for more spam.

Crusher and Beatstick are interchangeable as far as which to build first. If the enemy team has high lane sustain such as a Neith, Cernunnos, or Cupid you can get the Beatstick first. Otherwise, I recommend Crusher first. Attack speed and tick damage on top of tick damage. It adds up.

Soul Eater is going to further your sustain by giving ability lifesteal once fully stacked. Also, more cooldowns. Secondarily it's worth noting that the extra mana gives a small boost in power for the Transcendence passive.

Last item will be Titan's Bane. At the later stages of the game Targets will be more tanky. Not much to explain here. Read the passive.

You can sell boots for Odysseus' Bow for some attack speed for super late game. You'll have to buy the speedy pot though.

Notes

If you're getting destroyed by magical damage or if the enemy has alot of magical damage consider switching Crusher or Beatstick for a Bulwark of Hope. Gives health, gives prots, and gives a shield when you get low for the escape.

For physical damage in like a double hunter comp there is a more fun build. Instead of getting Crusher or Beatsick, depending on the situation, pick up a Glad Shield. It gives a little power and prots but you really want it for the sustain and the 10% CDR. Instead of Soul Eater, pick up a Bloodforge for the extra lifesteal and the shield after a kill. The power is nice too.

Start with the swarm (2) first. Obviously you will want to clear the wave at level. Level the hive (1) next as it will give you a little extra tick damage on your clear. Next get the honey (3) for annoying poke damage. After leveling the swarm again, get your ult, stinger (4). Leveling order after that will be swarm (2), hive (1), then honey (3). Level your stinger (4) when you can.
