SOH (HARD) Comps, Builds & Ranks

SHADOWS OVER HERCOPOLIS HARD MODE


This is my personal opinion about the gods in SOH. I have multiple clears on hard mode with alot of different gods. Please upvote if these rankings helped you.



Comps

In Trials of King Hercules, Melee/Adc/Heal was the most common comp, double adc and triple dps was used aswell, but more rare than we will see in SOH most likely.
Hunters owned in ToKH, but in SOH they own even more. Personally I recommend Adc/Adc/Heal or Triple Adc, but Melee/Adc/Heal is still a good thing to play. The same is Melee/Adc/Adc where Amataerasu is probly your only realistic choice as Melee if you are not being carried. Mages for damage and Guardians remains bad. Yes, you can clear with it in the right comps, but they are just weak versions of Warriors/Assassins and Hunters for their roles.


Here is 1-2 Comps you can use for each viable setup.



ADC/ADC/Heal

Cernunnos/Anhur/Aphrodite. This is a damn solid comp and easy to play. 2 Adc with easy escape, 1 adc (Most likely Cern) will take the more tanky role in this comp.

Ullr/Ah Muzen Cab/Hel. This is probly the healing comp with the most damage. Amc have the most damage of all hunters, and ullr is close. This comp take some skill to play as amc have no escape, and ullr and hel take practice and skill to play out their full potential.



Triple ADC

Cernunnos/Anhur/Ullr.  The 3 top hunters, all with escape and great damage, this is a fast run and a solid comp.

Cernunnos/Ah Muzen Cab/Cupid. This is a solid triple adc comp aswell, great damage and some healing. Cupids ultimate can also be use to skip fingerphase on draugr or to skip mobs.



Melee/ADC/Heal

Amaterasu/Cernunnos/Aphrodite.  This is a solid good comp with a tank and a healer.

Mercury/Ah Muzen Cab/Aphrodite. This is a tank/healer comp with more damage, but it is harder to play.



Melee/ADC/ADC

Amaterasu/Cernunnos/Anhur.  This is still a solid comp, the best for speedruns, but you need a solid Amaterasu for the comp to work.





Builds



Hunter

Core: Deathbringer, Malice, Wind Demon & Devourers Gauntless

Fill Choices: Asi, Odyssesus Bow, Fatalis, Executioner, Transcendence, Poisoned Star or Bloodforge.

Explained: The 3 Crit items in the core + Dev, wich is the best lifesteal item is something you just buy.

Then you got alot of choices for your 2 last items. If you dont have a healer with pyth or/and playing a bad comp, Asi is 1 of your fills, as you want double lifesteal, some people even run triple (Asi and Bloodforge).

Ody Bow, Fatalis and Exe are all good for attack speed. Personally I like to pick Fatalis, because im addicted to moving fast while attacking, but the stats are good aswell. Ody Bow is your best choice for damage if u already have an Exe in your group. If someone else dont pick it, you should use Executioner as your attackspeed item.

If you like alot of AP rather than speed or other stats, or if you play Xbalanque (Manasucking) , use Transcendence.

Poisoned Star
to get 80% crit is also an option.


I am sure there are other items aswell that you can use, but these are the best in my opinion.




Healer

Core: Shoguns Kusari, Pythagorems Piece, Chronos Pendant & Rod of Asciplilus

Fill Choices: Rod of Tahuti, Book of the DeadLotus Crown, Bancrofts Taloon, Gauntlet of Thebes or Book of Thoth.  


Explained: As a healer, you need your 3 auras and chronos pendant to buff your team and to max cdr, the last 2 items are more optional.
Personally I use 
Rod of Tahuti and Book of the Dead as I like the spellpower boost and how book makes me tanky.

If you wanna go full auras you can fill your build with Lotus Crown and Gauntlet of Thebes.

If you love stacking spellpower go Rod + Thoth, and if you love lifesteal go Book of the Dead + Bancroft.

I am sure there are other items aswell that you can use, but these are the best in my opinion.












Ranks

I look at mobility, damage, survivability and special abilities when I set these ranks. How good they work at bosses is most important. If a god can solo the first half blindfolded but suck at loki, and another god struggle some places early but is gold at loki or bosses in general, the last mentioned will be higher ranked.

I will change this list for Nightmare modeor make a new one. It depends how similar they are.

SS:  Super strong. These are the best gods for this dungeon overall. 

S+: These gods are really strong picks.

S: Strong picks.

S-: Good picks, with a little less to offer than the S gods.

A: Enough power to be viable for clear if they are played really well.

A-: Not something I would bring, but I challenge you to try.
