Assault Tier List (7/12/17)

Please note that all tiers are chosen under the assumption of having an average team/team comp. The best gods for the mode are the ones who do well in the most circumstances, INCLUDING varying team comps, player skill, and the potential for counter-builds. The worst gods are the ones who just don't function properly in the mode under most circumstances.
Also be aware that Assault, as a game mode, has some of the highest variability of any mode in Smite. The only full truths in this mode are that healers are always good, and a majority of games will see a minimum of 4 meditations per team.
Special mentions of specific gods will be limited to SS Tier and D Tier (if any qualify). There will not be any healers listed below S- in this tier list.
Ah Puch is the only SS Tier in Assault for a few obvious reasons. First, he counters healers/healing, which ALL teams have. Second, his poke potential in a single-lane, no-backing game mode is unrivaled. Third, his ult zones the ENTIRE lane and covers objectives completely. Fourth, he can self-sustain without meditation from mid-game and beyond. Lastly, his lack of mobility is rarely a factor since his team is always around to back him up when fights begin. Basically, if your team has this god, barring very specific and rare circumstances, you should win the game.
There is currently no god bad enough for D Tier, though arguments can be made against certain assassins.
*Cu Chulainn is placed rather low for the time being despite his "mana" (rage) sustainability because his passive is nearly impossible to control in this mode, and building Meditation on him isn't very strong OR necessary, which makes him a mild liability for his team unless he builds very unselfishly (and thus inefficiently).
