This is a tier list of my opinions on which gods are good. You may not agree with some of it but that is bound to happen.
I'll update this when the mid season patch drops.

Ao Kuang is my favorite god in the entire game so I put him here simply because his ult is so good in fights and he can punish over extending really easily.
Zeus is here because Zeus can hit over 50k+ damage in a match with no effort. His ult and chain lightning are broken.
Poseidon and Ares are a classic ult combo and they can guarantee an arena win if done right.

These gods can do anything they want in the arena during a team fight and still come out on top.
Cthulu ult is broken because of the damage and range
Nox has her basic combo
Nu Wa clay soldier stun does nasty damage
Persephone is Persephone
Olorun ult is sick nasty for team fights.
Odin does a lot of damage and has his cage.

These gods can control the arena however they want
Except loki he is here because he can finish off kills like a little rat

These gods are slightly above average for varying reasons

Average tier gods that wouldn't be a problem if you play them

Don't really recommend these gods but if you know what you're doing you'll be okay

Don't play these gods
Apollo and Neith get outclassed by all of the other hunters
Arachne is only good early game
Tyr will die as soon as he goes in
Bakasura is too squishy and can't chase
